BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 10. Uzbekistan
Technological Metals Complex (TMK) and Indian recycling company
RecycleKaro discussed potential cooperation in processing
industrial waste and recovering valuable materials, as Uzbekistan
seeks to expand resource-efficient technologies and develop its
industrial recycling sector.
This was reflected in the statement by the TMK following the
talks at TMK's headquarters with RecycleKaro executives. The
parties reviewed the development prospects of Uzbekistan's
industrial waste recycling sector, the country's existing
industrial potential and priority areas for bilateral
cooperation.
RecycleKaro is an Indian company specializing in urban mining, a
process that involves recovering valuable materials from waste
streams and discarded industrial products.
During the visit, the Indian delegation toured TMK's research
and experimental facilities, including its R&D park, and
reviewed the company's technological and innovation
capabilities.
"The Indian delegation also got acquainted with the research and
experimental infrastructure, as well as the innovative capabilities
of TMK's R&D park," the statement said.
The discussions focused on opportunities to process industrial
waste and extract valuable components, as well as develop joint
research and development projects in the sector.
The cooperation could support Uzbekistan's efforts to improve
the efficiency of industrial resource use while creating additional
opportunities to recover valuable materials from technological
waste.
The parties agreed to continue cooperation, develop joint
initiatives and jointly assess potential projects in industrial
waste processing and resource recovery.
The meeting also highlighted the potential for combining
RecycleKaro's experience in urban mining with TMK's research and
industrial capabilities to develop new technologies for processing
technological waste in Uzbekistan.
