BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 10. Pakistan’s Deputy
Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar has praised
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov’s contribution
to further strengthening relations between the two countries.
Dar made the remarks during a farewell call with Ambassador
Farhadov, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan said in a
post on its official X account. "Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign
Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar received Ambassador of
Azerbaijan H.E. Khazar Farhadov for a farewell call today. DPM/FM
appreciated Ambassador Farhadov’s contributions to further
strengthening the brotherly relations between Pakistan and
Azerbaijan," the ministry stated.
Dar wished the Azerbaijani ambassador success in his future
assignment and conveyed his best wishes and personal regards to
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Foreign Minister Jeyhun
Bayramov. "Ambassador Farhadov thanked DPM/FM for his support
during his tenure. He appreciated Pakistan’s commendable efforts
towards achieving durable peace in the region," the statement
added.
Azerbaijan and Pakistan maintain close political ties and
regularly emphasize the importance of expanding cooperation in
various areas, including trade, energy, transport connectivity,
defense and regional security.
Earlier, by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev, Khazar
Farhadov was recalled from his post as Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Islamic
Republic of Pakistan. According to another decree he has been
appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the
Republic of Azerbaijan to Malaysia.
