BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. Azerbaijan and the
United States discussed the prospects for developing their
strategic partnership.
This was stated in a press statement by the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs.
Meanwhile, it was noted that on August 10, as part of his visit
to the United States, Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Foreign
Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, held a meeting with Andrew
Stowe, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European
and Eurasian Affairs:
“During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current
state and prospects for the development of Azerbaijani-American
bilateral relations, and emphasized the importance of further
developing the partnership between the two countries across a broad
spectrum.
In particular, the discussions touched upon issues related to
the implementation of the Charter of Strategic Partnership between
the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of
the United States of America, as well as the outcomes of the Baku
Economic Dialogue.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on several regional and
international issues of mutual interest and reaffirmed their
readiness to continue close cooperation and consultations on issues
that contribute to strengthening peace, security, and
prosperity.”
