Real Madrid head coach José Mourinho is not completely satisfied with the squad ahead of the new season.
The Madrid club’s management has yet to fulfill two of the Portuguese coach’s transfer requests, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
One of Mourinho’s priorities is to sign a left-footed center-back. The coach is interested in Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni, whom the Italian club values at around €70 million.
Mourinho also wants to strengthen the midfield with a versatile player capable of operating at a high tempo and covering a large amount of ground. The coach sees Morten Hjulmand, who joined Atlético this summer, as an example of the type of player he is looking for.
Real Madrid had also set aside around €70 million for a potential move for Manchester City midfielder Rodri. However, after the Spaniard decided to continue his career at Barcelona, the Madrid club may reconsider its plans.
