Karim Benzema’s future at Al Hilal has been thrown into doubt as the Saudi club considers terminating the 38-year-old French striker’s contract by mutual consent.

The option could be pursued if Al Hilal succeeds in signing another star forward, Caliber.Az reports.

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is reportedly among the players the club is interested in.

Benzema joined Al Hilal in February 2026 after leaving Al Ittihad.

The Frenchman began his professional career at Lyon before joining Real Madrid in 2009. During 14 seasons in Madrid, he won 25 trophies, including the UEFA Champions League five times. In 2022, Benzema won the Ballon d’Or.

In 2023, the striker left Real Madrid and continued his career in Saudi Arabia.
