Russian attack drones struck the Orlivka international border crossing in Ukraine’s Odesa region on the border with Romania overnight, Ukrainian officials said.
The drones hit the crossing’s building and grounds, causing fires and forcing the temporary suspension of the ferry service, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
The processing of people and vehicles has also been suspended, with traffic redirected to other border crossings. Romanian authorities have been informed.
Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service said the Orlivka crossing had been attacked before and urged travellers to take the situation into account when planning journeys abroad.
Elsewhere, three people were killed and 12 injured in a Russian missile attack in the Kyiv region, with homes, cars and infrastructure damaged. Fires broke out in Boryspil, while rescuers evacuated 48 people and freed two people from under rubble.
In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian forces carried out 981 strikes on 57 settlements over the previous 24 hours, killing two people and injuring eight others.
Earlier, a ballistic strike on a railway depot and other railway facilities in Kyiv killed seven people, six of whom were employees of Ukrzaliznytsia.
