At least 10 members of Syria’s internal security forces have been wounded in clashes with armed groups in the western part of the southern province of As-Suwayda, Syrian state television reports.


The fighting took place in the areas of Tal Hadid, Walga and Al-Mansura, where armed groups launched attacks on positions held by internal security forces.


Mortars, heavy machine guns and drones were reportedly used during the attacks, according to the state broadcaster.



In addition to the security personnel wounded, civilian casualties were also reported, although no further details were immediately available.


There was no information on casualties among the armed groups involved in the clashes.
