US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said Ukrainian attacks on Russian energy infrastructure are contributing to higher fuel prices on global markets.
Bessent made the remarks amid an intensification of Ukrainian strikes targeting Russian oil refineries and other energy facilities, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
The attacks have increasingly focused on Russia’s energy infrastructure, raising concerns about potential disruptions to oil refining and fuel supplies. Bessent’s comments come as the frequency of such strikes has increased in recent weeks.
