Kyiv police have launched a special operation to locate and detain an armed suspect following a shooting in the city’s Sviatoshynskyi district, marking the second consecutive morning that gunfire has been reported in the Ukrainian capital.
Ukrainian media, citing police, reported that one person was injured in the incident and is receiving medical assistance. No further details about the victim’s condition have been released.
Personnel from Kyiv’s territorial and main police departments have been mobilized to search for and apprehend the suspect. Additional forces, including KORD special purpose police units, have also been deployed as part of the operation.
Authorities have not yet provided further information on the circumstances surrounding the shooting or the identity of the suspect.
