Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker Sahiba Gafarova and Director-General of the United Nations Office at Geneva Tatiana Valovaya discussed the important role of parliaments in strengthening democratic governance.
In a post on X, Valovaya said it was an honour for her to welcome Sahiba Gafarova and expressed gratitude for the exchange of views
“I was honoured to welcome H.E. Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to UN Geneva. Grateful for our exchange of views on the vital role of parliaments in strengthening democratic governance,” she wrote.
