A US reconnaissance aircraft, the Bombardier ARTEMIS II, approached Russia’s Kaliningrad region after taking off from Romania.
The aircraft took off from Romania at around 8:50 local time, and flew along the western borders of Ukraine and Belarus before heading towards Kaliningrad, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
Flight-tracking data showed the aircraft over the Baltic Sea, north-west of the Kaliningrad region, at 11:20 local time.
Its destination remained unknown.
The aircraft is regularly used for flights around the Kaliningrad region and over the Black Sea along Russia’s southern regions.
