BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 5. Kyrgyzstan exported
19,916 tons of dairy products during the first half of 2026.
This was reflected in a press release published by the Ministry
of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of
Kyrgyzstan on August 5.
"The country continued exporting dairy products and natural
honey to EAEU member states and third countries during the
reporting period," the statement said.
According to the ministry, dairy exports included 2,339 tons of
ice cream, 674.54 tons of cheese, 197.77 tons of fermented dairy
products, including kumis and kurut, 189 tons of whey, and 100.56
tons of butter.
Kyrgyzstan also exported 228.84 tons of natural honey during the
first six months of the year, the report added.
The ministry said the results reflect sustained external demand
for Kyrgyz dairy and beekeeping products and reaffirmed the
government's focus on expanding agricultural processing and
increasing exports of competitive food products to international
markets.
Meanwhile, dairy products have become one of Kyrgyzstan's
fastest-growing value-added agricultural exports as the country
seeks to shift from raw commodity sales toward processed food
products. Access to the Eurasian Economic Union market has
supported this transition by providing tariff-free trade with
neighboring member states, while the government has simultaneously
expanded concessional financing for livestock breeding,
agricultural equipment and food processing in an effort to increase
export-oriented production and improve the competitiveness of
domestic manufacturers.
