BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 21.
Famous tennis player and businesswoman Maria Sharapova will
participate in the INMerge Innovation Summit to be held in Baku,
Trend reports.
The summit will be held from November 30 through December 1 at
the Baku Convention Center.
Mo Gawdat, former chief business officer of Google X, Greg
Hoffman, former chief marketing officer of Nike, and Joel Mokir,
winner of the 2025 Nobel Prize in Economics, will also speak at the
event.
Sharapova won the Grand Slam tournaments five times during her
career. The tennis player representing Russia in international
tournaments was a 34-time winner of WTA tournaments, and a silver
medalist at the 2012 Olympic Games. The athlete has been ranked
first in the world ranking for 21 weeks
She was included in the International Tennis Hall of Fame in
2025. After completing her sports career, Sharapova, who is engaged
in entrepreneurial and investment activities, is a member of the
board of directors of the Moncler company. She’s also the author of
The New York Times bestseller.
