BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 6. Tajikistan and
Türkiye discussed expanding cooperation in the energy sector.
This was reflected in the statement by the Ministry of Energy of
Tajikistan folowing a meeting between Tajik Deputy Minister of
Energy and Water Resources Manuchehr Safarzoda and Runes Çetin,
chairman of the Tajikistan-Türkiye Business Council.
The talks focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in
energy, attracting investment, implementing joint projects and
expanding trade and economic ties between the two countries.
"The ministry welcomes broader cooperation with Turkish
partners, particularly in the supply of modern energy equipment,
the introduction of new technologies and the attraction of
investment for sectoral projects," Safarzoda said, according to the
ministry.
Safarzoda highlighted opportunities for expanding cooperation
with Turkish companies in Tajikistan's energy sector, emphasizing
the government's interest in modernizing energy infrastructure and
attracting foreign investment to support industry development.
Çetin reaffirmed the Turkish business community's interest in
strengthening economic and investment cooperation with Tajikistan.
He said Turkish companies are prepared to explore opportunities to
participate in energy projects and supply modern equipment to the
country.
The meeting also reviewed prospects for implementing joint
initiatives aimed at supporting the modernization of Tajikistan's
energy sector and deepening commercial links between businesses in
the two countries.
According to the ministry, both sides expressed their readiness
to continue dialogue and explore practical avenues for cooperation,
reflecting growing interest in expanding bilateral economic
relations through investment and technology partnerships in the
energy industry.
