BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 7. The payment for
issuing or replacing a press card has been canceled in
Azerbaijan.
This is reflected in the law on amendment to the law "On media"
approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham
Aliyev.
According to the amendment, journalists included in the Media
Register will be issued a press card by the Media and Broadcasting
Council. The form of the press card will be determined by the body
(institution) designated by the relevant executive authority.
Previously, the fee for issuing or replacing a press card was 20
manat ($11.7).
