BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 20. Uzbekistan’s
textile exports increased by 26.9% year over year to $2.1 billion
in January–August 2026, accounting for 9.4% of the country’s total
exports.
This was reflected in the statement by the National Statistics
Committee of Uzbekistan.
The value of textile shipments rose by approximately $445
million compared with the same period in 2025, when exports totaled
an estimated $1.65 billion, according to Trend’s calculations.
Finished textile products accounted for the largest share of
exports at 51%, followed by yarn at 32%, knitted fabric at 8%,
fabrics at 6%, hosiery products at 2% and carpets at 1%.
Based on the reported export value of $2.1 billion, finished

revenue during the first eight months of 2026. Yarn exports
amounted to around $672 million, while knitted fabric exports
totaled approximately $168 million. Exports of fabrics reached an
estimated $126 million, followed by hosiery products at $42 million
and carpets at $21 million.
Finished textile products and yarn together accounted for 83% of
textile exports, equivalent to approximately $1.74 billion. This
highlights the importance of these two categories to Uzbekistan’s
textile export earnings.
Textile products represented 9.4% of Uzbekistan’s total exports
during the reporting period, underscoring the sector’s role in the
country’s export structure. The year-over-year increase in textile
export value also indicates stronger export earnings from the
sector compared with the first eight months of 2025.
