The Baku International Sea Trade Port handled 4.8 million tonnes of cargo in the first seven months of this year, marking a 3% increase compared with the same period in 2025, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC has said.


It noted that 72,000 TEUs of containers were handled at the port in January-July, up 20% year-on-year, Caliber.Az reports.



The port also handled 1.4 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo during the period, an 82% increase compared with the first seven months of 2025.
