BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 11. KMG-Aero, a
subsidiary of Kazakhstan’s national oil and gas company KazMunayGas
(KMG), has started providing aircraft refueling services for
Kyrgyzstan’s state airline Asman Airlines at Almaty International
Airport.
This is reflected in the statement published by KMG.
Under the cooperation agreement, KMG-Aero supplies aviation fuel
for Asman Airlines’ regular flights on the Tamchy–Almaty–Tamchy
route, which operates twice a week on Mondays and Fridays.
"Developing the route network and creating favorable conditions
for international air carriers are in line with the Head of State's
instructions to strengthen the country's transport and logistics
potential, as well as the objectives set by the Government of the
Republic of Kazakhstan. KMG-Aero is consistently expanding its
cooperation geography, providing its partners with high-quality and
reliable aviation fuel services," the statement of KMG says.
The companies are currently discussing further cooperation,
including the possibility of launching new Asman Airlines routes to
other airports in Kazakhstan.
Implementation of these plans is expected to contribute to the
growth of bilateral air traffic, improve regional connectivity and
expand the international route network.
Asman Airlines is the state airline of Kyrgyzstan, established
in 2024 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Kyrgyz Airports JSC. The
carrier operates Dash Q400 turboprop aircraft with a capacity of up
to 80 passengers. Its route network covers key cities in
Kyrgyzstan, as well as international destinations, including Almaty
in Kazakhstan and Khujand in Tajikistan.
Earlier, KazMunayGas-Aero has also signed an agreement with
Belgian cargo airline ASL Airlines Belgium to provide aircraft
refueling services at Almaty International Airport.
KazMunayGas-Aero will provide "into-plane" refueling services for
the flights of the European carrier in compliance with
international quality standards.
