BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 12. As of August 1,
2026, 86.7% of the 1.7 million taxpayers registered in Azerbaijan
are individuals, while 13.3% are legal entities and other
organizations.
This information was published by the State Tax Service under
the Ministry of Economy.
According to the data, compared to the same period last year,
the total number of taxpayers increased by 4.8%, including a 4.6%
increase in the number of individuals and a 5.9% increase in the
number of legal entities.
As of August 1, the number of registered commercial enterprises
stood at 211,595, which is 6.7% more than last year.
In July 2026, a total of 1,257 commercial enterprises were
registered. Of these, 86.1% were enterprises with local investment,
and 13.9% were enterprises with foreign investment. 82.7% of
commercial enterprises were registered electronically. The share of
electronic registrations for limited liability companies with local
investment registered in the period from January through July 2026
was 97.1%.
The share of commercial legal entities registered in the country
that were established as limited liability companies stood at 92.2%
as of August 1, 2026.
