BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 13. Uzbekistan and
Georgia are set to hold their first business forum focused on
tourism cooperation, bringing together leading companies from both
nations to explore new opportunities for joint projects and
increased tourist flows.


This was reflected in the statement by the Tourism Committee of
Uzbekistan.


According to the Tourism Committee, the Uzbek-Georgian Business
Forum is scheduled to take place in Samarkand on August 17.


''More than 10 leading Georgian tourism companies are expected
to participate in the event and hold business-to-business meetings
with representatives of Uzbekistan’s tourism industry,'' the
Committee says.


The forum will provide a platform for companies to exchange
experience, discuss promising areas of cooperation and explore
opportunities to develop new tourism products, increase mutual
tourist flows and expand business ties between the two
countries.


Particular attention will be paid to establishing new
partnerships between Uzbek and Georgian tourism companies and
identifying opportunities for jointly implementing tourism
projects.


''The forum is aimed at strengthening business ties between
tourism companies of Uzbekistan and Georgia and creating new
opportunities for cooperation,'' the organizers said.







The event comes as Uzbekistan seeks to expand international
tourism cooperation and diversify its tourism markets by
strengthening ties with foreign partners.


For Georgia, the forum will provide an opportunity for tourism
companies to explore Uzbekistan’s growing tourism market, while
Uzbek businesses will gain access to Georgian expertise and
potential partnerships in areas such as tourism products, travel
services and cross-border tourism promotion.


The first Uzbek-Georgian business forum is expected to serve as
a platform for establishing direct commercial contacts and
identifying practical areas for future cooperation.


The event could also contribute to increasing tourist exchanges
between the two countries by encouraging companies to develop new
travel products and strengthen connectivity between their tourism
markets.


The forum is expected to become another step toward deepening
Uzbekistan-Georgia economic ties and creating new opportunities for
tourism businesses in both countries.
