BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 14. The cooperation of
law enforcement agencies has been discussed between Azerbaijan and
China.


This was reported by the press service of the Azerbaijani
Prosecutor General's Office following the meeting between
Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev and Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary of China Lu Mei.


According to the report, the prosecutor general touched upon the
traditional friendly and partnership relations between Azerbaijan
and China, the existence of business relations in all areas, and
spoke about the cooperation between the law enforcement agencies of
the countries.


He pointed out that China has supported the rightful position
and political initiatives of Azerbaijan on various international
platforms for many years, and as a result of the political will and
regular contacts of the heads of state, Azerbaijan-China relations
have developed dynamically in recent years and have risen to the
level of comprehensive strategic partnership.


The meeting particularly emphasized that the visits of President
Ilham Aliyev to China in 2025 and the signing of the "Joint
Declaration on the Establishment of Comprehensive Strategic
Partnership between Azerbaijan and China" with President Xi Jinping
of China in April of last year are important indicators of
this.


The high level of interstate relations has also had a positive
impact on the development of relations between the prosecutor's
offices of Azerbaijan and China, creating a favorable basis for
expanding cooperation and exchange of experience on issues of
mutual interest.


During the meeting, it was also noted that the meeting with the
Prosecutor General of the Supreme People's Procuratorate of China,
Ying Yong, held in Shanghai in April of this year, made a special
contribution to inter-agency relations.


Then, an exchange of views was held on the fight against various
forms of crime, practical cooperation issues, as well as the
prospects for expanding legal and institutional cooperation, and an
agreement was reached.


Expressing gratitude for the warm welcome, Mei touched upon
bilateral relations.


In this regard, she stressed that China attaches great
importance to relations with Azerbaijan, which are developing at a
high level and successfully.
