This was announced in a report published by SOCAR.

The report noted that in 2025, global energy markets were
influenced by geopolitical uncertainty, concerns about energy
security, and growing demand for natural gas: “In line with its
strategic development priorities, SOCAR expanded its international
asset portfolio last year, further strengthened its position in the
energy sector’s value chain, and successfully carried out its
operations as a result of measures taken to improve operational
efficiency and optimize costs.

In 2025, SOCAR continued its strategically important investment
and commercial activities. These operations include the acquisition
of an 80% stake in the Bahar and Kum-Deniz fields, the acquisition
of a 10% effective stake in the Tamar gas field, located in
Israel’s Mediterranean Basin; the development of new petrochemical
and energy projects in Turkey; strategic investments in digital
infrastructure and the petrochemical sector; and the expansion of
gas exports and international partnerships.

petroleum products, and natural gas.

also impacted cash flow: “As a result, cash flow from operating
activities grew by 136%.”

In addition to being the country’s strategic energy company,
SOCAR ranks first in terms of tax contributions to the state budget
