BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 14. New powers have
been given to the Accounts Chamber.


This is reflected in the decree of President of the Republic of
Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on amending decree No. 259 dated September
5, 2018 on the implementation of the law No. 440-VIIQD dated July
10, 2026 on amending the laws of Azerbaijan "On the budget system",
"On insurance activities" and "On the Chamber of Accounts" amending
and on the implementation of law No. 1199-VQ of Azerbaijan dated
June 29, 2018 "On the Chamber of Accounts".


The text of the document was published on the
official website of the President of Azerbaijan.


It's planned to give the Chamber of Accounts powers related to
the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and insurance secrecy.


The Chamber of Accounts will be able to give an opinion on the
draft and implementation of the budget of Nakhchivan, as well as
drafts of relevant laws and annual reports.


In addition, the institution will have powers related to the
funds of off-budget state funds, special-purpose state funds,
public legal entities, state-guaranteed loans, state grants and
technical assistance, off-budget funds of budget-financed
organizations in the autonomous republic.


The Chamber will also have access to information considered
insurance secrets obtained by professional participants of the
insurance market.
