Western countries have been urged to pay close attention to Russian President Vladimir Putin’s address at the Eastern Economic Forum, which is expected to contain important announcements, Anton Kobyakov, an adviser to the Russian president and executive secretary of the forum’s organising committee, told TASS ahead of the event.

“Of course, special attention is always paid to and focused on the address by the President of Russia at the plenary session. Watch it. There will be many important statements. And, of course, the West is advised to follow the head of state’s address,” Kobyakov said.

The Eastern Economic Forum will be held from September 1 to 4 in Vladivostok at the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University.

The main theme of the 2026 forum is “The Far East – Development for the Benefit of People.”
