Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has been named an “Honorary Citizen of the City of Irpin” during a meeting with former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko in Baku.
The certificate was presented to President Aliyev by Ukraine’s ambassador to Azerbaijan during Yushchenko’s visit to the Azerbaijani capital, according to the president’s post on X, Caliber.Az reports.
During the meeting, Aliyev and Yushchenko recalled their more than 20-year friendship and their joint efforts to strengthen relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
The two also discussed the prospects for further development of bilateral ties.
