BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 17. President of the
Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met with former President
of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko, who is visiting Baku.
The President of Azerbaijan shared the details of the meeting in
a post on his X account.
“During our more than 20 years of acquaintance, we shared fond
memories, recalled our joint efforts aimed at strengthening
Azerbaijan-Ukraine relations, and exchanged views on future
prospects for cooperation. During the meeting, I was presented with
a certificate naming me an honorary citizen of the city of Irpin by
the Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan,” the post reads.
