Israeli authorities have confirmed that Israel carried out a strike on Syrian territory, saying the operation was conducted in response to threats to the country's security.
According to media reports, the strikes targeted the Abu al-Duhur military airbase in Idlib province.
“We have repeatedly warned: we will not tolerate threats to the security of the state,” the authorities said.
Earlier, Israeli aircraft carried out four airstrikes on the runway of the Abu al-Duhur military airbase in eastern Idlib province.
