BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. Seymur Fataliyev,
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of
Azerbaijan to Costa Rica, presented his credentials to Laura
Fernández, President of the Republic of Costa Rica.
This was reported by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Costa Rica.
In addition, it was reported that the ambassador conveyed
sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of the
Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, to the President of Costa
Rica. President Laura Fernández expressed her gratitude and asked
that her sincere greetings be conveyed to the President of
Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the ambassador briefed President Laura
Fernández on Azerbaijan’s growing role against the backdrop of
recent geopolitical developments in the region and emerging new
realities, as well as on the country’s economic potential and
favorable investment climate. In addition, he highlighted important
achievements in the peace process between Azerbaijan and
Armenia.
President Laura Fernández congratulated Azerbaijan on the
progress made in the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
She expressed her readiness to continue joint efforts aimed at
further developing friendly relations and cooperation between Costa
Rica and Azerbaijan during her presidential term. The President of
Costa Rica wished the Azerbaijani ambassador success in his
diplomatic work.
The ambassador also presented President Laura Fernández with a
book published by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation titled “Azerbaijan:
Captivated by the Charms of Nature.”
