A total of 98 people have relocated to the villages of Shukurbayli and Horovlu in Azerbaijan’s Jabrayil district as part of the ongoing Great Return program to territories liberated from occupation. The resettlement is being carried out in line with instructions from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

The returning residents had previously been temporarily accommodated in various regions across Azerbaijan, primarily in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

At the current stage, 15 families, comprising 86 people, are moving to Shukurbayli, while three families, totaling 12 people, are relocating to Horovlu.

The residents returning to their ancestral lands expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state support provided throughout the resettlement process.

They also paid tribute to the Azerbaijani Army and the servicemen who liberated the territories from occupation, honoring the memory of the martyrs who lost their lives during the fighting.
