Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said diplomacy with the United States could be put back on track if Washington recognised that pressure was ineffective.

In a post following discussions with Qatar’s prime minister and foreign minister, Araghchi said the talks had been “creative”.

He said restoring diplomacy depended on the US understanding that “pressure doesn’t work”.

Araghchi called on Washington to build trust, communicate respectfully, recognise Iran’s rights and honour its commitments.
