India plans to buy the US-made Javelin anti-tank system, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor said on August 28.
“BIG news! India plans to buy the battle-tested Javelin anti-tank system,” Gor said in a post on X. He described the move as “a great step forward” in the US-India defence relationship and said it could open the door to co-production opportunities.
Gor, who is also the US special envoy for South and Central Asia, said engagement between the two countries was at “record-high levels”.
