Azerbaijan has ranked among the top five countries by the number of recipients under the Latvian government’s scholarship program for the 2026–2027 academic year.
As part of bilateral cooperation in education, 10 Azerbaijani citizens will pursue studies in Latvia with government scholarships, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Following the Latvian authorities’ final decision, the Azerbaijani recipients will have the opportunity to study at various academic levels at several leading Latvian higher education institutions.
These include Rīga Stradiņš University, Riga Technical University, the University of Latvia, Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies, the Transport and Telecommunication Institute, and Turība University, among others.
Azerbaijan is one of 22 countries benefiting from the Latvian government’s scholarship program and ranks among the top five in terms of the number of scholarship recipients.
The program further strengthens educational ties between Azerbaijan and Latvia while providing Azerbaijani students with opportunities to pursue higher education in Latvia.
