Chairman of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) Samir Rzayev has held a meeting with Brazil’s newly appointed Ambassador to Baku, Bernard Jorge Leopold de Garcia Klingl, during which the sides exchanged views on the renewal of the fleet.

In a post on Facebook, Rzayev said the talks focused on expansion of the route network and opportunities for further development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Brazil in the aviation sector, Caliber.Az reports.

“We also discussed aircraft manufactured by Embraer, a major player in Brazil’s aviation industry. Currently, our fleet includes seven Embraer aircraft operating on regional and medium-haul routes, reflecting the practical ties that already exist between our two countries in the aviation sector,” Rzayev wrote.
