Azerbaijan’s sanatorium, resort and health tourism potential was showcased in Astana as the country seeks to expand cooperation with Kazakhstan’s tourism sector.
The presentation was held at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Astana as part of a visit by a delegation from the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, bringing together representatives of Kazakh tourism companies, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Chingiz Hajiyev, General Director of “Kurort” CJSC under the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, presented the treatment and recreational opportunities available at Azerbaijan’s health and wellness centres.
He highlighted the facilities’ modern medical equipment, range of services and use of natural treatment methods, providing participants with an overview of the conditions available for both medical treatment and leisure.
The delegation also introduced the activities of the “Kurort” Tourist Information Centre, the electronic voucher issuance system and the e-AHİK booking platform.
Video presentations featuring Azerbaijan’s sanatorium and resort facilities were also shown. Representatives of Kazakh tourism companies had the opportunity to ask questions and receive detailed information about the services offered.
The meeting focused on promoting Azerbaijan’s health tourism market in Kazakhstan, establishing direct links between tourism companies in the two countries and identifying opportunities for joint projects.
