Construction of a new bridge has been completed in the village of Gobustan at the 55th kilometre of Azerbaijan’s M-2 Baku–Alat–Gazakh–Georgia state border highway.

The State Agency for Motorways of Azerbaijan said the existing bridge was dismantled in 38 days and replaced with a new single-span structure built in line with modern standards and requirements, Caliber.Az reports.

The project included the construction of bridge piers, installation of a flyover and safety barriers, paving of sidewalks and completion of other road infrastructure works.
