The United States has removed counterterrorism sanctions from two aircraft and three airlines with links to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, according to details posted to the US Treasury Department's website, Reuters reports.
The sanction removal came after President Donald Trump said his administration had "very good discussions" with Iran during all-day negotiations on August 4, fuelling expectations of an imminent end to the five-month conflict.
