BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 7. Muratjan
Mussaybekov has been appointed General Director and Chairman of the
Management Board of Atyrau Oil Refinery (ANPZ).


This was announced in the statement of Kazakhstan’s national oil
and gas company KazMunayGas (KMG).


The decision was made by an extraordinary general meeting of
participants of ANPZ LLP. The new head of the refinery was
introduced to the company’s employees by KMG Deputy Chairman of the
Management Board Asset Magauov.


Mussaybekov has held various positions within the KMG system
throughout his career. He served as KMG Director for Oil and Gas
Processing and Petrochemicals Projects, Managing Director for Oil
Refining, Deputy General Director of KazMunayGas – Processing and
Marketing, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of KPI
Inc., as well as held positions in other public and private
organizations.







"KMG management has set key priorities for ANPZ, including
improving operational efficiency, increasing the output of light
petroleum products, enhancing the reliability and energy efficiency
of production processes, continuing environmental projects and
creating safer and more comfortable working conditions for
employees," the statement says.


The company emphasized the importance of ensuring stable and
uninterrupted operation of the refinery. The extraordinary general
meeting also terminated the powers of the previous ANPZ General
Director and Chairman of the Management Board, Kuanysh
Bishimov.
