BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 22. A presentation
ceremony for the book “Her Yönüyle Iğdır” was held at the
Azerbaijan House in Iğdır.
Authored by Ziya Zakir Acar, head of the Azerbaijan House in
Iğdır, the publication contains information about Iğdır’s history,
cultural heritage, customs and traditions, as well as various
aspects of the city’s social and cultural life. The book was
produced with the support of the State Committee of the Republic of
Azerbaijan on Work with the Diaspora.
The presentation ceremony was attended by Iğdır Governor Mustafa
Fırat Taşolar, Head of the Iğdır Provincial Police Department
Niyazi Turgay, Professor Uğur Şimşək, Adviser to the Rector of
Iğdır University, Hüseyin Ateş, Chairman of the Iğdır Provincial
Organization of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), Mücahit
Tanık, Head of the Melekli town of Iğdır, as well as
representatives of the public and cultural spheres and art
enthusiasts.
Speaking at the event, Ziya Zakir Acar provided information
about the purpose behind the publication of the book, the
preparation process and the topics covered in the publication. He
noted that the main purpose of the work is to research and preserve
Iğdır’s historical and cultural heritage and bring it to a wider
audience.
The speakers emphasized the importance of studying Iğdır’s
ancient history and rich cultural heritage and passing them on to
future generations. It was noted that the book “Her Yönüyle Iğdır”
is one of the important sources for promoting the city’s historical
and cultural values.
At the end of the event, a book signing ceremony was held for
the participants.
The presentation ceremony was remembered as an important event
contributing to the further strengthening of relations between
Azerbaijan and Türkiye based on shared spiritual values.
