Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Serbia on September 7–8 at the invitation of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Uzbekistan’s presidential press office said.
Mirziyoyev and Vučić are expected to hold high-level talks in Belgrade focused on strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Serbia, with particular attention to trade, economic and investment ties, Caliber.Az reports via Uzbek media.
The two sides will discuss potential joint projects in transport, mechanical engineering, light and food industries, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and information technology.
The agenda will also include organised labour migration, inter-regional cooperation, and cultural and humanitarian relations.
A business forum bringing together government officials and business representatives from both countries will be held as part of the visit.
The two presidents are expected to oversee the signing of a package of intergovernmental and inter-agency agreements following their talks.
