Moldova is hosting the multinational military exercise “Fire Shield–2026” from September 4 to 19, bringing together troops from Moldova, Romania and the United States.

The exercises are being conducted at military training centres in the northern, central and southern parts of the country, Caliber.Az reports via Moldovan media

The drills are aimed at strengthening the participating countries’ defence capabilities, improving military readiness and enhancing cooperation between their armed forces.

Moldovan authorities have also warned that military vehicles will be travelling along national roads during the exercises.

“Fire Shield” has been held annually in Moldova since 2015, providing a framework for the country’s armed forces to conduct joint training with international partners.
