Forty-one people were reported missing in Georgia during the first half of 2026, according to the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Of those, 24 people have been found, including one who was discovered dead, while 16 remain missing, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media.
Most of those reported missing were Georgian citizens. Between January and June, five foreign nationals were also reported missing, four of whom were later found.
Georgia has maintained official statistics on missing persons since January 1, 1973. A total of 1,017 people have been reported missing in the country since records began.
