Construction of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) could begin in early 2027, Armenia’s Ambassador to the United States Narek Mkrtchyan said in an interview with Semafor.
Mkrtchyan said the project was moving forward, with a feasibility study expected to be completed by the end of 2026. The laying of the foundation stone could then take place as early as the beginning of 2027.
The ambassador also said Armenia was emphasising its commitment to TRIPP as a transit and energy corridor while seeking to maintain its ties with Russia and Iran.
