BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 10. Uztelecom has
emerged as one of Uzbekistan's strongest-performing listed
companies in 2026, with its shares soaring more than 300% since the
beginning of the year.
This was reflected in the statement by KAP DEPO.
According to data from the Tashkent Republican Stock Exchange,
the company's ordinary shares rose 11.9% during Monday's trading
session to 7,900 soums (about $0,00066) per share, approaching the
8,000-soum (around $0,67) mark.
Over the past 30 days, Uztelecom's shares have gained 33.9%,
while the stock has advanced 306.8% since the beginning of 2026,
adjusted for the company's capitalization.
The sharpest appreciation began after the company's
capitalization in late April. At that time, the shares traded at
around 2,400 soums (approx. $0,00020) before climbing a further
229.2% over the following months.
The latest rally coincided with the publication of the company's
first-half financial results. Earlier, Uztelecom reported net
profit of 896 billion soums (about $74.6 million) for January–June
2026, compared with 10 billion soums (approx. $832,767) in the same
period of last year.
Trend's analysis
shows that Uztelecom has become one of the best-performing listed
companies on Uzbekistan's stock market in 2026. The stock's 306.8%
year-to-date gain significantly outpaced the broader market, with
investors responding to a sharp improvement in the company's
profitability and financial performance.
Trend's
calculations show that Uztelecom's share price has increased by
approximately 5,500 soums (around $0,00046) since the beginning of
the year and by about 229% since late April alone. The company's
8,860% surge in net profit—from 10 billion soums (approx. $832,767)
to 896 billion soums (around $74.6 million)—has likely reinforced
expectations of stronger shareholder returns and supported the
sustained rally in its shares.
In Trend's
assessment, the combination of robust earnings growth and rising
investor demand has positioned Uztelecom among the key drivers of
Uzbekistan's equity market this year. The stock's performance also
reflects growing confidence in the country's capital market, where
improving corporate governance, stronger financial disclosures and
privatization reforms are attracting increasing investor
attention.
